Senior DevOps Engineer – Wealth Management Fintech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and enhance the cloud infrastructure hosted on AWS.

• Design, manage, and scale production environments based on Kubernetes.

• Enhance system reliability, availability, and performance as transaction volumes and financial data workloads increase.

• Develop and uphold infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and deployment tools.

• Collaborate with backend and data engineers to optimize PostgreSQL performance, ensuring database reliability, backups, and scalability.

• Fortify infrastructure security and access controls for sensitive financial information.

• Recognize architectural bottlenecks and enhance system scalability and resilience.

• Contribute to defining infrastructure and operational standards as the engineering team grows.

• Engage in incident response, root-cause analysis, and ongoing reliability enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of practical experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.

• Extensive, hands-on experience managing and operating AWS environments.

• Strong production-level experience in designing and scaling Kubernetes clusters.

• Proven history of scaling high-availability production systems.

• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL administration, performance tuning, and scaling.

• Significant experience with infrastructure-as-code, utilizing Terraform or similar technologies.

• Comprehensive experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines and modern observability tools.

• Deep knowledge of cloud, network, and application security.

• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive or regulated data.

• Capability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Experience in fintech, wealth management, banking, lending, payments, or other transaction-focused platforms is highly desirable.

• Prior experience in designing infrastructure for financial-data platforms or working within SOC 2 compliant environments is preferred.

• Proficiency or hands-on experience with Python is advantageous.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
