Cloud & Web Development Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain mission-critical applications that support the U.S. Small Business Administration.

• Create full-stack web applications utilizing Microsoft technologies alongside modern frontend frameworks.

• Develop and sustain RESTful APIs, backend services, and database integrations.

• Assist in the modernization of legacy applications to align with current .NET platforms and contemporary architectures.

• Create and maintain applications for workflow management, document management, and loan processing.

• Diagnose production issues and implement system improvements.

• Collaborate with architects, product owners, business analysts, QA engineers, and client stakeholders.

• Engage in Agile planning and software delivery processes.

• Support DevSecOps and CI/CD implementation initiatives.

• Contribute to technical design reviews, code evaluations, and knowledge sharing sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of two (2) years of overall work experience.

• At least five (5) years of software engineering experience.

• Background in software engineering.

• Proficient in C#, .NET / ASP.NET Core, SQL Server, JavaScript, React, REST API development, Git source control, and Agile software development methodologies.

• Experience in supporting enterprise-level applications.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust; approval required prior to onboarding.

• Preferred/nice to have: experience with SBA, federal consulting, application modernization, loan processing systems, document management systems, database optimization and reporting, Azure cloud, DevSecOps, leading development teams, large-scale data or document migration, Python development, and mentoring junior developers.
