Cloud Solution Engineer – Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Create scalable, highly available, and secure infrastructure solutions utilizing cloud services.

• Contribute to the technical design of SAP for cloud-system and service integration and execution.

• Collaborate with platform partners and the Basis team to design, develop, and document compliant solutions.

• Collect requirements, define project scope, and achieve strategic objectives and program goals.

• Engage in design and code reviews.

• Work alongside the automation team to create automation for new services.

• Plan the migration of systems and applications to the cloud.

• Partner with operations and architecture teams to prepare applications for onboarding.

• Integrate both cloud and non-cloud technologies along with third-party SaaS products, including RISE.

• Evaluate emerging cloud and SAP technologies and industry trends.

• Develop SAP solution roadmaps and strategic initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with SAP best practices and industry standards.

• Establish the onboarding process for applications.

• Become proficient in RTX public-cloud implementation and onboarded services.

• Support infrastructure automation efforts by ensuring necessary information is gathered.

• Verify that service request forms collect the information required for automated solutions.

• Articulate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Operate independently and with teams distributed across various locations.

• Successfully complete assigned goals, objectives, and tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Generally requires a University Degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience OR, if lacking a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency with Windows and RHEL operating systems.

• Experience with authentication RBAC controls, patching, hardening, group policy, and OS clustering concepts.

• Familiarity with integrating SSO providers, especially PING and Entra SSO.

• Knowledge of IIS, Apache, and Tomcat middleware.

• Experience with IaaS and Azure PaaS solutions in commercial and GovCloud settings.

• Proficient in SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, XML, and JSON.

• Experience with cloud services like AKS, ANAF/ANF, and load balancers.

• Familiarity with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Git, and Jenkins.

• Preferred: Experience integrating applications with SAP environments.

• Preferred: Background in backup and recovery, including streaming, virtualization, cloud-based solutions, and HANA System Replication.

• Preferred: Knowledge of security and compliance standards such as CIS Benchmarks, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, FedRAMP, ISO/IEC 27001, SOX, and PCI DSS.

• U.S. citizenship is necessary to access certain required systems.

• Must be located in one of the 50 U.S. states, excluding U.S. territories.
