Cloud Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Create and document comprehensive cloud architectures spanning AWS, Azure, and Alibaba Cloud.

• Direct the development of highly available, scalable, and secure multi-region cloud infrastructures.

• Formulate disaster recovery plans with established Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) targets.

• Implement and uphold cloud governance frameworks, which include tagging, identity and access management, and cost-efficient infrastructure designs.

• Define and manage CI/CD infrastructure that supports blue/green deployments, canary releases, and best practices for infrastructure as code.

• Collaborate effectively with DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Application, and Security teams.

• Establish and manage observability standards, encompassing monitoring, alerting, and telemetry pipelines.

• Assess and propose cloud-native technologies, tools, and industry best practices.

• Act as a point of escalation for critical production issues related to cloud infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in cloud architecture.

• Strong hands-on experience across AWS, Azure, and Alibaba Cloud platforms.

• In-depth knowledge of high availability, scalability, resilience, and security within cloud-native settings.

• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.

• Extensive experience in establishing and managing CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

• Expertise in disaster recovery planning, multi-region failover, and system hardening techniques.

• Strong foundation in networking, Identity and Access Management (IAM), containerization with Kubernetes, and service mesh technologies.

• Proven ability to work with geographically dispersed teams and manage stakeholders across various time zones.

• Exceptional analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

• Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Alibaba Cloud Professional Architect.

• Knowledge of regulated industries, data sovereignty, and compliance-related architectural patterns is advantageous.
