Cloud Software Engineer – Observability Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and manage distributed systems that collect, process, and store telemetry data at exceptional scale.

• Take responsibility for the reliability, performance, capacity, and cost-effectiveness of telemetry pipelines and storage solutions.

• Participate in the on-call rotation and assist in resolving production incidents.

• Drive root-cause analysis and follow through to implementation of fixes.

• Develop software and automation to reduce repetitive operational tasks.

• Identify architectural limitations and contribute to shaping the roadmap for future scalability.

• Collaborate closely with product, infrastructure, and service teams throughout ClickHouse.

• Contribute to architecture and design evaluations.

• Assist in enhancing engineering quality within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in building and operating production systems at scale.

• Strong expertise in Go programming language.

• Experience in developing and managing services on Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and GitOps tools such as Terraform, Helm, and Argo CD.

• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Practical experience with telemetry systems like OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar technologies.

• Experience with ClickHouse, high-throughput ingestion, streaming, queuing, or storage systems is advantageous.

• Experience in creating multi-tenant cloud services is a plus.

• Experience in optimizing infrastructure for performance and cost is a plus.

• Familiarity with TypeScript is a plus.

• Capability to tackle ambiguous production challenges and make sound engineering trade-offs.

• Strong communication skills in a remote, asynchronous environment.
