Cloud Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and uphold scalable, resilient, and secure software tools and microservices tailored for a cloud-native framework.

• Engage in software subsystem design, promote code reuse, and adhere to established technical standards.

• Create and integrate custom APIs, including those that expose AI/ML model outputs for enterprise applications.

• Deploy and oversee cloud-native infrastructure, including Google Kubernetes Engine clusters, leveraging Infrastructure as Code methodologies.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines to facilitate automated software build, testing, and deployment processes.

• Execute application monitoring, logging, and alerting utilizing Google Cloud's operations suite.

• Work alongside security teams on security patching, vulnerability management, and secure coding methodologies.

• Participate in code reviews and disseminate knowledge within the team.

• Maintain thorough technical documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI security clearance.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

• DoD 8570.01-M / DoD 8140 IAT Level II (or higher) baseline certification, such as CompTIA Security+.

• 3-5+ years of professional software development experience.

• Demonstrated experience in a collaborative, cross-functional team setting.

• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, and Bash.

• Experience with Docker containerization and a foundational understanding of Kubernetes orchestration.

• Familiarity with CI/CD principles and tools like GitLab CI and Jenkins.

• Knowledge of cloud networking, including VPCs and firewall rules, as well as secure coding practices in a GCP environment.

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Developer certification.
