Cloud Security Validation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain automated test scripts using Java (Selenide or Selenium) for web applications.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (development, product, DevOps) to grasp rapidly changing requirements and ensure sufficient test coverage within tight timeframes.

• Design, implement, and execute automated test cases to validate the functionality, performance, and scalability of web applications.

• Identify, prioritize, and report defects, collaborating closely with development teams to facilitate resolutions across multiple concurrent workstreams.

• Engage in test planning, estimation, and review meetings, quickly adapting as priorities shift.

• Continuously enhance and refactor automation test suites for improved speed, stability, and maintainability.

• Utilize sound judgment to prioritize testing efforts when time and resources are limited.

• Keep abreast of industry trends in test automation, cloud technologies, DevOps methodologies, and cybersecurity.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional (commercial, paid) experience as an AQA Engineer or in a similar position — mandatory.

• Strong expertise in Java and familiarity with Selenide or Selenium WebDriver.

• Basic knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.

• Experience in developing and executing automated test suites for web applications.

• Proficient in web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and HTTP protocols.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the capacity to prioritize effectively under pressure.

• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity startup environment — comfortable managing multiple concurrent tasks and adapting to changing priorities without compromising quality.

• Resilience under stress and adaptability; able to maintain focus and effectiveness under tight deadlines.
