Cloud Infrastructure Services Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Oversee, configure, and provide support for the organization's Microsoft ecosystem, which includes Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Exchange, user provisioning, licensing, and tenant administration.

• Design, implement, and manage secure and scalable Microsoft Azure environments, encompassing virtual machines, networking, storage, application services, VPN connectivity, and associated cloud resources.

• Maintain and support hybrid infrastructure environments, which include on-premises servers, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and directory services.

• Develop and execute Infrastructure as Code solutions utilizing Terraform and ARM templates.

• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and various observability tools.

• Manage identity and access services through Microsoft Entra ID, focusing on conditional access, multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, and security controls.

• Design and support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions employing Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, Rubrik, and related technologies.

• Implement cloud governance standards, resource management strategies, and cost optimization initiatives across Azure environments.

• Administer and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, access points, gateways, SD-WAN technologies, VPN services, and wireless networking platforms.

• Act as the primary internal contact with managed service providers for infrastructure and network support, escalations, and issue resolution.

• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to enhance infrastructure security and address vulnerabilities across cloud and on-premises environments.

• Create and maintain architecture documentation, operational procedures, technical standards, and disaster recovery plans.

• Provide advanced Tier 2/3 support for intricate infrastructure issues and work alongside vendors and Microsoft support.

• Remain updated on emerging cloud technologies, platform enhancements, and industry best practices to enhance the firm's technology landscape.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in systems administration, cloud engineering, or infrastructure engineering.

• Hands-on experience with the administration of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, Exchange, and Active Directory environments.

• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure compute, storage, networking, identity, and security services.

• Experience managing Windows Server and Linux environments within both cloud and on-premises infrastructure.

• Proficient with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Azure DevOps.

• Comprehensive understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing, SD-WAN, and enterprise networking.

• Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, Bash, or similar tools.

• Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, high-availability architectures, and business continuity planning.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and technical documentation skills.

• Experience supporting enterprise networking infrastructure, including Ubiquiti or comparable platforms.

• Experience working with managed service providers in a co-managed IT environment.

• Industry certifications such as AZ-104, MS-102, SC-300, AZ-305, or AZ-700 are highly preferred.

• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment is preferred.

• Familiarity with ITIL principles and IT service management or ticketing systems is preferred.
