This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +31 more states.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of the essential cloud infrastructure that supports all LeanTaaS services.
• Oversee robust build pipelines, deployment tools, and internal systems to facilitate smooth code deployment.
• Implement disaster recovery strategies and automation for segregated deployment environments.
• Uphold internal security protocols, performance monitoring solutions, and uptime tracking for the cloud infrastructure.
• Administer MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring adherence to legal standards.
• Advocate for best practices regarding availability, reliability, scalability, and security.
• Engage in on-call support rotations to guarantee system availability and uptime.
• Enhance existing documentation and runbooks.
• Automate repetitive manual tasks.
• Collaborate with various scrum teams and codebases to foster innovation and efficiency.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
• 1–3 years of engineering experience in building, maintaining, and scaling cloud infrastructure.
• Proficient in Python, Bash, and Shell scripting languages.
• Experience utilizing AI productivity tools such as Cursor, Claude, and Co-Pilot to enhance DevOps workflows.
• Practical experience configuring and managing AWS services including EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, VPC, Site-to-Site VPN, Route53, and API Gateway.
• Hands-on experience in creating CI/CD pipelines and defining Infrastructure as Code using Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Familiarity with application containerization using Docker and workload orchestration with ECS Fargate or Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles, system monitoring, and the integration of Shift Left practices early in the development lifecycle.
• Additional cloud technology or security certifications are advantageous.
• Experience in a startup environment is a plus.
• Contributions to open-source DevOps or cloud infrastructure projects are a plus.
• Experience with cloud providers other than AWS is a plus.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
