This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Spearhead the ongoing enhancement of the deployment strategy for the Technical Consulting team.
• Create and manage automated CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions or similar tools.
• Streamline deployment, patching, and configuration workflows through automation.
• Take ownership of establishing AWS infrastructure for consulting applications, which includes components like EC2, S3, ALB, and Lambda.
• Implement infrastructure as code methodologies and assess container or serverless architectures.
• Develop and sustain AI-driven workflows and automation systems for the Technical Consulting team.
• Provide support for the technical infrastructure that underpins billable consulting projects and AI tools.
• Assist with applications deployed in Windows Server and IIS settings.
• Retain SQL proficiency for schema modifications and query troubleshooting.
• Oversee system health and performance metrics using Datadog or CloudWatch.
• Identify and rectify infrastructure problems in both production and staging environments.
• Enhance reliability, deployment speed, and infrastructure decisions that impact client results.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in roles such as cloud engineering, DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
• Practical experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, ALB, and Lambda.
• Proficient in utilizing AI code generation tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude Code.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions or an equivalent CI/CD pipeline solution.
• Strong SQL capabilities, encompassing DDL schema modifications and DML query troubleshooting.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Docker.
• Comfortable operating in Windows Server and IIS environments.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity effectively.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes is advantageous.
• AWS certification is highly desirable.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation is preferred.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash are preferred.
• Exposure to Azure or GCP is a plus.
• Willingness to be available outside of regular business hours for deployments, patching schedules, or incident response.
