This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and architect cloud solutions tailored for Epic applications to guarantee optimal performance, scalability, and security.
• Spearhead the migration of Epic systems and applications to cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Work alongside Epic EHR specialists and IT teams to ensure cloud architecture meets Epic’s technical and business needs.
• Offer consulting services to clients moving from on-premises solutions to cloud-based Epic systems.
• Supervise cloud infrastructure for Epic systems, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and performance standards.
• Manage cloud-native technologies, load balancing, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions.
• Monitor, analyze, and enhance cloud environments for cost-effectiveness and performance optimization.
• Implement security measures in the cloud to safeguard patient data and ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and other healthcare regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and perform vulnerability analyses.
• Lead and mentor teams focused on cloud engineering.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to synchronize Epic with other healthcare applications and systems.
• Produce technical documentation and diagrams utilizing tools such as Visio and draw.io.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, cloud technologies, and Epic solutions.
• Innovate workflows, automate processes, and enhance cloud infrastructures for healthcare clients.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience holding Epic ECSA Certification.
• In-depth knowledge of Epic systems and their supporting infrastructure components, including Hyperspace, Hyperspace Web, MyChart, Care Everywhere, Interconnect, Epic printing, and Kuiper.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows server administration, DNS, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Experience with virtual applications and desktops such as Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops/DaaS, Omnissa Horizon, and/or Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Familiarity with load-balancing technologies such as Citrix NetScaler and Big IP F5.
• Public Cloud Certification/Experience, including AWS and Azure.
• Proven experience in leading Epic technical implementations and delivering cloud-based solutions.
• Skilled in creating technical documentation, system diagrams, and integrating with third-party software applications.
• Strong understanding of network protocols and healthcare IT operations.
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, computer science, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of experience with Epic, particularly in Epic client-server administration.
• Demonstrated success in multiple project implementations and a track record of delivering cloud-based Epic solutions.
• Ability to effectively present project ideas, solutions, and outcomes to clients and stakeholders.
• Proficient in MS Office tools, including Visio, Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.
