This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, AVD, and AWS platforms.
• Lead cloud deployment and migration projects with minimal supervision.
• Administer and manage the lifecycle of assigned cloud services and platforms.
• Oversee Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Entra ID, and Windows 365 Cloud PCs.
• Manage Azure Virtual Desktop host pools, image management, and FSLogix.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions, automation frameworks, and operational tooling.
• Utilize tools such as Nerdio, CIPP, and Lighthouse.
• Analyze performance, availability, and security metrics across Azure, Microsoft 365, AVD, and AWS environments.
• Implement initiatives for cloud improvements.
• Act as a technical escalation point for Cloud Engineer I team members.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical coaching and knowledge sharing.
• Suggest architecture enhancements, security improvements, and modernization opportunities.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to convert operational requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to engineering standards, governance practices, and platform roadmaps.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, systems engineering, or infrastructure roles.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 platforms.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS environments and multi-cloud architectures.
• 2+ years of experience with Azure Virtual Desktop or similar VDI technologies.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management, including Entra ID, Conditional Access, and MFA.
• Experience with networking concepts such as VPNs, ExpressRoute, DNS, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with security best practices and compliance frameworks.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 services and administration.
• Knowledge of Azure services including compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop architecture and optimization.
• Knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC).
• Knowledge of hybrid infrastructure and identity integrations.
• Knowledge of DevOps orchestration.
• Scripting skills, with a strong preference for PowerShell.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM, and Bicep.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex cloud and hybrid systems.
• Experience with monitoring and performance tuning.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Ability to work independently as well as in team environments.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Ability to resolve complex technical problems.
