Cloud Database Infrastructure Engineer – EMEA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Develop a cloud-native database platform utilizing public cloud infrastructure.

• Contribute to the in-house Kubernetes operator to facilitate seamless management of infrastructure.

• Enhance the metrics pipeline and create systems that provide improved statistics and recommendations.

• Collaborate with the ClickHouse core development team and other data plane teams to address infrastructure use cases and implement internal infrastructure enhancements.

• Design and construct a robust, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in the software development industry, focusing on the creation and operation of scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems.

• Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Go, C++, or Java in production environments.

• Familiarity with PagerDuty for on-call duties and troubleshooting production systems.

• Proficient with a public cloud provider like AWS, GCP, or Azure, as well as infrastructure-as-a-service solutions such as EC2.

• Experience with data storage, ingestion, and transformation technologies including Spark or Kafka.

• Background in working with distributed systems.

• Capability to address data challenges on a large scale.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within and across engineering teams.
