Cloud Automation Engineer – Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, GitOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance dependable, scalable cloud delivery solutions.

• Collaborate closely with development and infrastructure teams.

• Automate deployment processes.

• Enhance CI/CD workflows.

• Provide support for applications operating on Azure and Kubernetes.

• Implement automation, DevOps, and contemporary GitOps methodologies in a cooperative setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps, build and release, or automation engineering.

• More than 3 years of experience in building and maintaining Azure DevOps YAML pipelines as a core responsibility.

• At least 2 years of experience deploying containerized applications to Kubernetes in a production environment.

• In-depth knowledge of Azure DevOps Pipelines: YAML templates and parameters, multi-stage pipelines, environments and approvals, variable groups, service connections, as well as hosted and self-hosted agents.

• Experience with Git branching and release workflows, pull request policies, and artifact and repository management in Azure DevOps.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes application deployment including Helm charts, values management, and troubleshooting at the kubectl level.

• Experience with GitOps delivery using ArgoCD or Flux.

• Familiarity with containers and container registries.

• Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell and either Python or Bash, including working with the Azure CLI and Azure REST APIs.

• Capability to read and modify Terraform and Bicep code, even if not originally authored by you.

• Experience with automated verification within a delivery pipeline: including smoke tests, health checks, and deployment validation.

• Proficient in professional working English.
