Closing Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional service to clients and potential clients both in-person and over the phone.

• Address client inquiries and effectively resolve issues.

• Adhere to Bank policies, procedures, and relevant state and federal laws as well as regulatory guidance.

• Stay informed about laws, regulations, and procedures associated with SBA and USDA lending.

• Counsel all parties involved in the loan closing process.

• Review loan approvals and commitment letters.

• Organize, prepare, review, and authorize due diligence, compliance processes, and documentation necessary for closing government-guaranteed loans.

• Create SBA Guaranty packages for approval.

• Collaborate with external legal counsel on title insurance, searches, and loan closing package documentation.

• Convey closing requirements and issues to both internal and external partners.

• Oversee the execution of loan and transaction documentation.

• Prepare and verify the accurate booking of closed loans and initial funding packages.

• Maintain an updated pipeline of approved loans scheduled for closing.

• Manage closing and related operational workflows.

• Ensure timely resolution of any exceptions.

• Recognize clients' financial needs and refer them to Trust, Investments, Insurance, Treasury Management, and other specialized areas.

• Support other team members and carry out assigned related duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

• At least 10 years of experience in the financial services sector.

• Familiarity with federal banking regulations and compliance.

• Understanding of SBA SOP and processing requirements.

• Knowledge of USDA program parameters.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) or similar software.

• Outstanding interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team while managing daily priorities.

• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines while maintaining high accuracy levels.

• Exceptional client service skills.

• Demonstrated tact and diplomacy in interactions with clients and team members.

• Capability to perform required physical activities, including prolonged sitting and standing, manual dexterity, verbal communication, visual acuity, repetitive motion, hearing, bending, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping.
