CLM Technical Architect – Sirion, AI / Lead IS Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Act as the principal technical expert for the enterprise Sirion CLM platform.

• Create scalable Sirion solutions encompassing contract requests, authoring, clause and template management, workflow and approvals, repository management, obligations, reporting, analytics, and contract intelligence.

• Establish and oversee platform architecture, tenant and environment strategy, configuration governance, security, access models, deployment strategy, and release management.

• Design integrations between Sirion and enterprise platforms, including SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, procurement platforms, e-signature solutions, identity platforms, data platforms, and other enterprise applications.

• Assess business and technical requirements to find the appropriate balance between the native capabilities of Sirion, configuration, integration, extension, and customization.

• Assist in setting architecture standards for scalability, maintainability, performance, and upgradeability.

• Support strategies for contract and metadata migration, data models, reporting architecture, and integration patterns.

• Collaborate with business, Legal, Procurement, IT, architecture, security, and implementation teams.

• Facilitate technical design discussions and critically evaluate proposed solutions in favor of better, simpler, or more scalable alternatives.

• Prototype and assess emerging capabilities.

• Aid in defining the roadmap for generative AI, contract intelligence, AI agents, automated contract review, intelligent extraction, conversational search, obligation management, and workflow automation within CLM.

• Spot opportunities to link contract data and intelligence with the wider enterprise technology ecosystem.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to members of the configuration, integration, data, and development teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Extensive experience in designing and implementing enterprise Contract Lifecycle Management solutions.

• Preferably possess hands-on experience with Sirion implementation.

• Experience with multiple large-scale CLM implementations, ideally including at least one complicated global Sirion deployment.

• Strong grasp of CLM architecture throughout pre-signature, execution, repository, post-signature, obligation, analytics, and reporting capabilities.

• In-depth understanding of enterprise integrations, APIs, data mapping, middleware, authentication, SSO, security, and application architecture.

• Experience integrating CLM with SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, DocuSign, Adobe Sign, procurement/S2P systems, ERP platforms, and enterprise data environments.

• Capability to comprehend both technical architecture and the underlying contracting process.

• Experience in making and defending architectural decisions regarding configuration versus customization.

• Strong knowledge of enterprise SaaS architecture, release management, environment strategy, and technical governance.

• Demonstrated interest and hands-on experience with AI, LLMs, intelligent document processing, contract analytics, generative AI, or agentic automation.

• Ability to differentiate meaningful AI use cases from technological hype and convert new capabilities into practical enterprise solutions.

• Excellent client-facing communication skills and capacity to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Comfortable working in a multifaceted global enterprise environment with numerous teams, systems, and stakeholders.

• Familiarity with additional CLM technologies such as Icertis, Ironclad, Conga/Apttus, DocuSign CLM, Agiloft, or similar platforms.

• Experience in modernizing a legacy contracting ecosystem or migrating from another CLM platform to Sirion.
