Clinical Research Nurse, Home Visits

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional nursing care to participants in clinical trials within their residences.

• Execute study-related tasks such as taking vital signs, collecting and processing specimens, shipping specimens, and performing ECGs.

• Administer investigational medications/products in accordance with the study protocol.

• Conduct evaluations of patients and monitor for any adverse events.

• Communicate findings to the study team or Principal Investigator.

• Precisely document visit activities in line with study requirements.

• Educate patients regarding study procedures, medications, and adherence to protocols.

• Uphold compliance with ICH-GCP guidelines and study protocols.

• Engage with patients, caregivers, and study teams effectively.

• Ensure HIPAA compliance and protect the confidentiality of sensitive health information.

• Advocate for the needs of patients and their families.

• Operate independently, identify limitations, and appropriately escalate concerns.

• Adhere to ethical research standards and protections for vulnerable populations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of an active, unrestricted nursing license.

• Graduation from an accredited BSN program, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program.

• At least 2 years of experience in acute care following qualification.

• BLS certification is mandatory.

• ICH-GCP Certificate or a willingness to obtain one is required.

• Basic proficiency in IT, including mobile devices, documentation systems, and Microsoft tools.

• Capability to work independently in home-based environments.

• A valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation are essential.

• Training in the handling and transport of hazardous materials, or a commitment to receive such training.

• Availability for a flexible work schedule.

• Experience in clinical research is preferred.
