Clinical Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Deliver scientific and technical guidance to both customers and internal business units.

• Act as a subject matter expert in clinical and specialty testing.

• Evaluate clinical protocols and identify testing requirements.

• Formulate analytical strategies within a global laboratory network.

• Assist in global analytical harmonization initiatives by providing strategic guidance, reviewing data, and supporting expansion efforts.

• Engage in scientific discussions with sponsors, laboratories, and internal teams.

• Analyze clinical data, monitor harmonization trends, establish reference ranges, flag abnormal results, and report critical values.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address client escalations and technical challenges.

• Offer viable solutions within the expected timeframes.

• Address scientific inquiries from various departments, including Client Services and Business Development Operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related health field discipline.

• Over 5 years of pertinent industry experience in central laboratory or clinical research.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant bench experience.

• Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) Certification is highly preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Capacity to exercise independent judgment in reviewing protocols, testing strategies, and clinical objectives.

• Ability to influence and provide strategic advice to clients and internal stakeholders.

• Proficient in managing multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.

• Familiarity with CLSI guidelines and their application within a global central lab framework.

• Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills.

• Competence in applying fundamental concepts of statistical analysis.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including word processing, spreadsheets, accounting, and database software.
