Clinical Psychologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct brief, evidence-based virtual counseling sessions, either individually or in groups, for patients experiencing low- to moderate-acuity acute mental health issues.

• Offer outpatient treatment services, follow-up care, psychiatric support, and triage for individuals with acute conditions and complex disorders.

• Provide recommendations regarding major diagnoses and treatment strategies.

• Participate in staff meetings focused on case discussions, ongoing education, continuous quality improvement, and safety protocols.

• Advise on hospitalization needs and assess service members' fitness for duty.

• Evaluate and complete Active-Duty Profiles, Medical Evaluation Board assessments, Military Occupation/Mental Status Evaluations, command consultations, and associated administrative tasks.

• Relay information regarding TRICARE and Department of Defense beneficiary requirements and benefits.

• Prepare and sustain clinical records, case summaries, reports, and correspondence utilizing approved electronic medical records systems.

• Develop, monitor, and document thorough treatment and rehabilitation plans.

• Diagnose patients using the DSM and assess laboratory and clinical data.

• Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, nurses, social workers, military liaisons, and commanders.

• Oversee quality assurance within the designated area of responsibility.

• Ensure safe therapeutic outcomes and update patient records within required timelines.

• Adhere to SOP duty limitations, weapons access assessments, safety notifications, and DHA scheduling protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from a university or professional school accredited by the APA.

• Completion of an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship in professional psychology.

• Minimum of two years of post-graduate experience as a Clinical Psychologist utilizing virtual platforms for bio-psychosocial evaluations, developing behavioral health treatment plans, administering Active-Duty Profiles, conducting Medical Evaluation Board evaluations, making fitness-for-duty assessments, and providing psychotherapy.

• Candidates with less than two years of experience using virtual platforms will be considered.

• Must possess a current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice psychology independently, issued by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction.

• Meet credentialing requirements and acquire and maintain relevant clinical privileges.

• Ability to obtain and sustain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross.

• Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not replace BLS requirements.
