Clinical Pathologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.

📋 Description

• Evaluate clinical pathology specimens and deliver precise diagnostic assessments for veterinary clients.

• Produce high-quality pathology reports while ensuring prompt turnaround times and adherence to best practices.

• Offer consultation and follow-up assistance to aid clients in comprehending diagnostic results and their implications for patient care.

• Maintain diagnostic precision and engage in peer collaboration as needed.

• Enhance clinical pathology knowledge through ongoing education, professional development, and the application of new insights.

• Take part in pathology rounds, team meetings, committees, and collaborative discussions.

• Contribute to educational, research, customer-focused, and project-related initiatives within the pathology organization.

• Foster positive working relationships with colleagues by communicating thoughtfully, valuing diverse perspectives, and supporting team decisions.

• Establish professional growth objectives, enhance leadership skills, and adapt to the changing needs of the business and customers.

• Engage in weekend coverage as part of the team’s diagnostic support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or an equivalent veterinary qualification.

• Board certification from the American College of Veterinary Pathology (ACVP) or the European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathology (ECVCP).

• In-depth expertise in clinical pathology and diagnostic specimen interpretation.

• Capacity to deliver accurate, detailed, and timely diagnostic evaluations.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a focus on customer service.

• Ability to organize, prioritize, and effectively manage multiple responsibilities.

• Comfort in working independently while collaborating with colleagues in a team-oriented setting.

• Awareness of current topics, developments, and challenges in clinical veterinary medicine.

• Service-minded attitude with a dedication to quality and continuous improvement.

• Willingness to participate in a weekend coverage schedule, including a commitment to work one weekend day as part of your regular schedule.
