Clinical Inquiry Specialist – Genetic Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Address clinical, technical, and scientific inquiries from both internal and external clients regarding precision oncology products.

• Offer clinical expertise to laboratory personnel and molecular geneticists concerning accessioning inquiries, modifications to test orders, and interpretation of results.

• Collaborate with molecular geneticists and other departments to ensure the provision of timely, high-quality test results.

• Assist in the development of marketing materials, website content, scientific meetings, industry conferences, and networking with genetic counselors.

• Create educational materials and engage in public speaking for client and community education.

• Maintain professional certification through continuous education.

• Facilitate the intake and implementation of special projects.

• Execute specialized tasks that go beyond typical genetic counselor responsibilities.

• Support the training of genetic counseling assistants.

• Adhere to the company's mission, values, and Quality Management System policies and procedures.

• Ensure consistent and reliable attendance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Genetic Counseling.

• ABGC/CCGC Board Certified or eligible.

• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Preferred 2+ years of experience in an Oncology Genetics clinical role.

• Preferred experience with various oncology-related genomic technologies such as tumor NGS, ctDNA, and Molecular Residual Disease assays.

• Extensive knowledge of human genetics.

• General understanding of personalized health care, clinical genetics, laboratory medicine, and informatics.

• Capability to convey complex information simply to diverse audiences.

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Proficient in analyzing complex problems.

• Excellent verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills.

• Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.

• Demonstrated capacity to perform essential duties with or without accommodation.

• Ability to adhere to the designated work schedule.

• Proficient in performing necessary laboratory and computer tasks, including sitting or standing for up to 50 minutes per hour.

• Required visual and hearing acuity for laboratory and computer tasks.

• Ability to navigate throughout the building.

• Capable of working within standard office and genetic testing laboratory environments.
