This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Address clinical, technical, and scientific inquiries from both internal and external clients regarding precision oncology products.
β’ Offer clinical expertise to laboratory personnel and molecular geneticists concerning accessioning inquiries, modifications to test orders, and interpretation of results.
β’ Collaborate with molecular geneticists and other departments to ensure the provision of timely, high-quality test results.
β’ Assist in the development of marketing materials, website content, scientific meetings, industry conferences, and networking with genetic counselors.
β’ Create educational materials and engage in public speaking for client and community education.
β’ Maintain professional certification through continuous education.
β’ Facilitate the intake and implementation of special projects.
β’ Execute specialized tasks that go beyond typical genetic counselor responsibilities.
β’ Support the training of genetic counseling assistants.
β’ Adhere to the company's mission, values, and Quality Management System policies and procedures.
β’ Ensure consistent and reliable attendance.
β’ Operate with an inclusion mindset and exemplify inclusive behaviors.
β’ Masterβs Degree in Genetic Counseling.
β’ ABGC/CCGC Board Certified or eligible.
β’ Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
β’ Preferred 2+ years of experience in an Oncology Genetics clinical role.
β’ Preferred experience with various oncology-related genomic technologies such as tumor NGS, ctDNA, and Molecular Residual Disease assays.
β’ Extensive knowledge of human genetics.
β’ General understanding of personalized health care, clinical genetics, laboratory medicine, and informatics.
β’ Capability to convey complex information simply to diverse audiences.
β’ Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
β’ Proficient in analyzing complex problems.
β’ Excellent verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills.
β’ Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
β’ Demonstrated capacity to perform essential duties with or without accommodation.
β’ Ability to adhere to the designated work schedule.
β’ Proficient in performing necessary laboratory and computer tasks, including sitting or standing for up to 50 minutes per hour.
β’ Required visual and hearing acuity for laboratory and computer tasks.
β’ Ability to navigate throughout the building.
β’ Capable of working within standard office and genetic testing laboratory environments.
β’ Continuous education to sustain professional certification.
β’ Occasional local and overnight travel to meet clients and participate in conferences.
