This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage clinical, technical, and scientific inquiries from both internal and external clients regarding genetic testing.

• Offer clinical expertise to laboratory personnel and molecular geneticists concerning accessioning inquiries, modifications to test orders, and interpretation of results.

• Collaborate with molecular geneticists and other departments to deliver timely and high-quality test outcomes.

• Assist in the creation of marketing materials, website content, scientific meetings, industry conferences, and networking with genetic counselors.

• Develop educational resources and support public speaking engagements for client and public education initiatives.

• Maintain professional certification through continuous education efforts.

• Facilitate the intake and execution of special projects.

• Undertake specialized tasks that go beyond conventional genetic counselor responsibilities.

• Provide support in training genetic counseling assistants.

• Identify and escalate problems or issues to the Clinical Inquiry Specialist Manager.

• Uphold the company’s mission and values while supporting the policies and procedures of the Quality Management System.


⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Genetic Counseling.

• ABGC/CCGC Board Certified or eligible.

• Authorization to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.

• Preferred: 2+ years of experience in a Pediatric, Prenatal, MFM/NICU, or Adult (Cardio/Neuro) Genetics clinical role.

• Preferred: Experience with whole genome and whole exome testing.

• Comprehensive understanding of human genetics.

• General knowledge of personalized health care, clinical genetics, laboratory medicine, and informatics.

• Ability to convey complex information in a straightforward manner to diverse audiences.

• Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.

• Capability to analyze intricate problems.

• Excellent verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills.

• Proficient in setting priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Ability to adhere to Quality Management System policies and procedures.

• Regular and dependable attendance is required.

• Necessary visual, auditory, sitting/standing, and mobility capabilities.

• Must be able to work the designated schedule.

• Willingness and ability to work in standard office and genetic testing laboratory environments.
