This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Address clinical, technical, and scientific questions from both internal and external clients concerning precision oncology offerings.
• Offer clinical insights to laboratory personnel and molecular geneticists regarding accession inquiries, modifications to test orders, and interpretation of results.
• Collaborate with molecular geneticists and other departments to ensure timely and high-quality test outcomes.
• Support marketing and business development by creating marketing materials and content for the website.
• Represent the company at scientific conferences and industry meetings while networking with genetic counselors.
• Create educational resources and engage in public speaking for client and public education initiatives.
• Maintain professional certification through continuous education.
• Facilitate the intake and implementation of Special Projects.
• Execute specialized tasks that extend beyond the typical responsibilities of a genetic counselor.
• Assist in training genetic counseling assistants.
• Adhere to departmental protocols and identify as well as report issues to the Clinical Inquiry Specialist Manager.
• Support and adhere to the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
• Uphold the company’s mission and values.
• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
• Operate within standard office and genetic testing laboratory environments.
• Master’s Degree in Genetic Counseling.
• ABGC/CCGC Board Certified or eligible.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Oncology Genetics clinical role.
• Familiarity with various oncology-related genomic technologies such as tumor NGS, ctDNA, and Molecular Residual Disease assays.
• Extensive and comprehensive knowledge of human genetics.
• General understanding of personalized healthcare, clinical genetics, laboratory medicine, and informatics.
• Ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
• Exceptional verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills.
• Proven capability in prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to adhere to a designated work schedule.
• Visual, auditory, and physical capability to execute laboratory and computer-related tasks.
• Ongoing education to maintain professional certification.
• Occasional local and overnight travel for client meetings and conference attendance.
