This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Address clinical, technical, and scientific inquiries from both internal and external clients related to genetic testing.
• Offer clinical expertise to laboratory personnel and molecular geneticists concerning accessioning inquiries, modifications to test orders, and interpretation of results.
• Collaborate with molecular geneticists and various departments to deliver timely, high-quality test outcomes.
• Support the creation of marketing materials, website content, scientific meetings, industry conferences, and networking with genetic counselors.
• Develop educational resources and assist with public speaking engagements for client and public education.
• Maintain professional certification through continuous education.
• Facilitate the intake and execution of Special Projects.
• Undertake specialized tasks that extend beyond standard genetic counseling responsibilities.
• Aid in the training of genetic counseling assistants.
• Identify and report issues or challenges to the Clinical Inquiry Specialist Manager.
• Adhere to the company's mission and values while complying with Quality Management System policies and procedures.
• Maintain consistent and dependable attendance.
• Advocate for inclusion, teamwork, collaboration, and consensus-building.
• Operate within standard office and genetic testing laboratory environments.
• Travel locally and overnight to engage with clients and participate in conferences.
• Master’s Degree in Genetic Counseling.
• ABGC/CCGC Board Certified or eligible.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Pediatric, Prenatal, MFM/NICU, or Adult (Cardio/Neuro) Genetics clinical role (preferred).
• Experience with whole genome and whole exome testing (preferred).
• Extensive knowledge of human genetics.
• General understanding of personalized health care, clinical genetics, laboratory medicine, and informatics.
• Capability to convey complex information clearly and relevantly to diverse audiences.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
• Proficient in analyzing intricate problems.
• Exceptional verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Ability to adhere to a designated work schedule.
• Demonstrated capability to perform essential duties with or without accommodation.
• Visual, auditory, and physical ability to conduct laboratory and computer tasks.
• Capacity to stand or sit for up to 50 minutes during each hour.
• Ability to navigate throughout the building.
• Must operate within standard office and genetic testing laboratory environments.
• Continuous education to uphold professional certification.
• Occasional local and overnight travel to meet clients and attend conferences.
