
Clinical Director β Occupational Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Oversee the clinical quality and strategic direction of Mud Clubβs occupational therapy services.
β’ Guide, mentor, and provide support to Occupational Therapists.
β’ Set standards for OT/OTA supervision and delegation practices.
β’ Create and uphold clinical policies, processes, best practices, SOPs, and decision-making frameworks.
β’ Manage quality assurance, documentation, continuity of care, clinical risk management, and adherence to professional standards.
β’ Offer complex clinical consultation and escalation support.
β’ Innovate and assess new service offerings.
β’ Handle clinical staffing, capacity, and service planning effectively.
β’ Collaborate with families when elevated clinical support is necessary.
β’ Enhance clinical reasoning, decision-making, competence, and performance development within the team.
β’ Work alongside the Lead OTA & Trainer on onboarding, training, and professional growth initiatives.
β’ Analyze program trends and transform them into improved systems, training, and support structures.
β’ Fortify supervision frameworks, escalation channels, quality-review processes, member transitions, family communication, regulatory compliance, privacy practices, and outcome enhancements.
β’ Engage with clinical, programming, operations, and technology teams.
β’ Provide clinical guidance for programming, therapeutic tools, facilitation methods, new service initiatives, community experiences, and resources for members and families.
β’ Collaborate with organizational leadership on staffing, service capacity, clinical risk management, and strategic planning.
β’ Assess the potential of gaming, VR, AI, digital communities, and emerging technologies to enhance occupational therapy practices.
β’ Must be a Registered Occupational Therapist in Canada.
β’ Extensive experience working with children and adolescents, preferably including neurodivergent youth.
β’ Strong clinical reasoning skills.
β’ Experience in mentoring and developing fellow clinicians.
β’ Knowledge of neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based practices.
β’ Proficient in supervising and supporting OT/OTA models.
β’ Ability to navigate complex clinical and family dynamics.
β’ Strong and thoughtful communication skills.
β’ Capability to identify patterns and establish practical systems.
β’ Ability to balance professional standards with innovative practices.
β’ Comfortable collaborating across various disciplines.
β’ Decisive and accountable in making clinical decisions.
β’ Experience in developing clinical programs, competency frameworks, quality-assurance systems, or scalable healthcare solutions is highly valued.
β’ Familiarity with virtual care, gaming, Minecraft, VR, or online communities is beneficial but not mandatory.
