This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +5 more states.
β’ Provide clinical leadership and support across Air Methods' Midwest Region.
β’ Collaborate with clinical, operational, medical, safety, risk, compliance, and educational teams to guarantee safe and high-quality patient care.
β’ Ensure adherence to Air Methods standards, CAMTS accreditation requirements, and relevant regulations.
β’ Identify opportunities for operational and clinical enhancements and implement best practices across designated bases.
β’ Monitor clinical performance through chart evaluations, documentation audits, reported incidents, clinical data analysis, dashboard reviews, and performance tracking.
β’ Recognize clinical risks and recurring issues, collaborating on corrective measures.
β’ Engage in clinical investigations, remediation efforts, and follow-up action plans.
β’ Elevate significant clinical concerns to the Clinical Director II and relevant stakeholders.
β’ Facilitate engagement of the Medical Director in clinical review processes and communicate clinical concerns, trends, and quality initiatives.
β’ Prepare assigned bases for CAMTS accreditation and re-accreditation activities.
β’ Guide, coach, and mentor Clinical Base Leads and clinical team members.
β’ Contribute to clinical hiring processes, candidate evaluations, scenario-based assessments, and interviews.
β’ Provide performance feedback and recommendations for annual evaluations and development planning.
β’ Oversee medical supply utilization and expenditures for assigned bases.
β’ Ensure that clinical licenses, certifications, and credentials are current and properly documented.
β’ Support billing, operational, and regulatory compliance through precise credential management.
β’ Travel to assigned bases, training sessions, audits, and operational needs.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Management, Nursing, EMS, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
β’ Graduate of an accredited Nursing or Paramedic program.
β’ A minimum of five (5) years of experience in critical care, emergency nursing, or EMS.
β’ Previous experience as a flight nurse or flight paramedic is required; critical care ground transport experience may be considered.
β’ Prior leadership or management experience within an air medical or transport program is preferred.
β’ Current specialty certification required: Nurses: CFRN, CCRN, CEN, or CTRN; Paramedics: FP-C or CC-P.
β’ Current RN or Paramedic license in the applicable state(s) of practice.
β’ Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and Approved Air Medical Trauma Credential.
β’ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
β’ Strong understanding of clinical operations and financial management.
β’ Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and responsibilities effectively.
β’ Excellent decision-making and critical thinking abilities.
β’ Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills.
β’ Capability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
β’ Maintain regular and dependable attendance.
β’ Travel as necessary to support assigned bases, training activities, audits, and operational needs.
