This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Provide regional clinical leadership and support throughout Air Methods' Midwest Region.

• Collaborate with clinical, operational, medical, safety, risk, compliance, and education teams to guarantee safe, high-quality patient care.

• Ensure adherence to Air Methods standards, CAMTS accreditation requirements, and relevant regulatory guidelines.

• Identify opportunities for operational and clinical improvements and implement best practices at assigned bases.

• Facilitate the progression of clinical team members through onboarding and rider qualification processes.

• Monitor clinical performance by conducting chart reviews, documentation audits, event reporting, clinical data analysis, dashboard reviews, and performance monitoring.

• Identify clinical risks and recurring issues, working collaboratively on corrective actions.

• Engage in clinical investigations, remediation efforts, and follow-up action plans.

• Escalate significant clinical concerns to the Clinical Director II and relevant stakeholders.

• Foster Medical Director involvement in clinical review processes and communicate clinical concerns, performance trends, and quality initiatives.

• Prepare assigned bases for CAMTS accreditation and re-accreditation activities.

• Offer guidance, coaching, mentorship, and support to Clinical Base Leads and clinical team members.

• Assist in clinical hiring activities, including candidate screening, scenario-based assessments, and interviews.

• Provide performance feedback and recommendations to Area Managers for evaluations and development planning.

• Collaborate with education and leadership teams to enhance teammate growth and clinical competency.

• Oversee medical supply utilization and expenditures for assigned bases.

• Ensure clinical licenses, certifications, and credentials are current and properly documented.

• Support billing, operational, and regulatory compliance through accurate management of credentials.

• Travel to assigned bases, training activities, audits, and operational needs as necessary.

• No direct supervisory responsibilities; provides leadership, mentorship, and guidance across assigned locations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Management, Nursing, EMS, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing or Paramedic program.

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in critical care, emergency nursing, or EMS.

• Previous experience as a flight nurse or flight paramedic is required; critical care ground transport experience may also be considered.

• Prior leadership or management experience within an air medical or transport program is preferred.

• Current specialty certification is required: Nurses: CFRN, CCRN, CEN, or CTRN; Paramedics: FP-C or CC-P.

• CFRN or FP-C certification is preferred.

• Current RN or Paramedic license in the applicable state(s) of practice.

• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and Approved Air Medical Trauma Credential.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Strong understanding of clinical operations and financial stewardship.

• Excellent advocacy skills for both patients and teammates.

• Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills.

• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and responsibilities.

• Sound decision-making and critical thinking skills.

• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Regular and dependable attendance.

• Ability to travel when needed to assigned bases, training activities, audits, and operational requirements.

• Compliance with Air Methods policies, procedures, and employment practices.
