Clinical Development Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain advanced disease and procedure classification encoding software for HIM clients utilizing an intermediate logic-based programming language.

• Conduct testing and implement quality control measures on the expert software.

• Deliver prompt and precise responses to inquiries regarding coding and expert software to enhance customer relations.

• Ensure software remains up-to-date with national coding standards, classification system updates, official regulations, guidelines, customer enhancements, marketing improvements, and deadlines for updates.

• Spearhead the development and implementation of enhancements and solutions to work processes and tools.

• Adhere to corporate policies, procedures, and security protocols.

• Travel up to 10% domestically as required.

• Participate in on-site onboarding at a specific company location during the initial employment period for start dates of October 1, 2025, or later.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree or higher with four (4) years of hospital coding experience, OR a High School Diploma/GED with eight (8) years of hospital coding experience.

• HIM credential: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC — one or more required.

• BSIT, BSN, or RN or equivalent professional experience.

• Strong communication, oral presentation, and writing skills.

• Proficient analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

• Knowledge of coding and clinical practices, including disease processes, procedures, and anatomy.

• Capability to interpret coding rules and regulations and apply them within databases.

• Preferred knowledge in intermediate logic design and programming, including HTML, C, C++, etc.

• Creative application of coding expertise and logic for code assignment.

• Working knowledge of Jdelphi and Jira is preferred.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without requiring sponsorship for visa status.

• Must provide educational credentials and work history.
