Clinical Counselor – Employee Assistance Program

📋 Description

• Provide on-demand, single-session consultations.

• Perform clinical assessments, action and safety planning, triage, and informational services.

• Offer support through phone, video, and chat channels.

• Utilize advanced technology platforms to connect members with suitable solutions.

• Accurately type and document information in real time.

• Navigate intranet systems and tools to assist with call management.

• Employ chat and instant messaging tools for team assistance.

• Review email communications concerning plan sponsor details, process updates, and departmental information.

• Manage multiple tasks while engaging with members.

• Safeguard member confidentiality in accordance with enterprise and EAP policies.

• Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation that meets regulatory and risk management standards.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of crisis intervention experience.

• Valid unrestricted independent professional behavioral health clinical license as per state regulations in the residing state; accepted licenses include LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LMHC, LCMHC, LICSW, LISW, or Clinical Psychologist.

• Master’s Degree in a behavioral health counseling discipline.

• Availability for 24x7x365 call center coverage; holiday shifts may be necessary.

• A separate distraction-free workspace in a room with a closing door.

• Dual monitors and a headset are required.

• Hardwired, dependable broadband or fiber internet connection.

• Minimum home internet speeds of 400 Mbps for download and 10–20 Mbps for upload.

• A four-port modem with the fourth port allocated for work internet.

• Familiarity with brief therapy models and Motivational Interviewing techniques.

• Experience working in a call center environment.

• Proven experience delivering services through chat, video, and phone.

• Strong skills in building rapport.

• Experience in facilitating positive behavioral changes.

• Robust computer and literacy skills.

• Background in handling mental health, psychiatric care, family issues, and relationship concerns.
