Clinical Consultation Triage – Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess incoming calls to determine needs and provide suitable care advice and disposition.

• Encourage cost-effective solutions and ensure a safe return to work.

• Implement all stages of the nursing process during call triage.

• Gather general health information and/or make referrals for physician services.

• Assess the need for alternative treatments through telephonic communication and provider evaluation.

• Utilize established triage protocols and input relevant data into the computer system.

• Recognize life-threatening emergencies and suggest appropriate interventions.

• Promptly refer matters that require physician attention to the appropriate physicians.

• Guide patients to the suitable level of care, whether it be emergency rooms, urgent care, primary care physicians, or self-care.

• Comply with quality assurance standards.

• Act as a resource for fellow triage team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active unrestricted RN compact licensure is required.

• A minimum of two (2) years of recent clinical practice experience.

• Proficiency in navigating multiple screens and various computer applications.

• Proven effective verbal communication skills.

• Capability to identify life-threatening emergencies and recommend suitable interventions.

• Ability to fulfill physical, auditory/visual, and mental work environment requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) is preferred.
