Clinical Assistive Technology Professional

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Engage in a thorough interview and onboarding process for the Clinical ATP Program.

• Complete an extensive 6-month blended learning program that includes directed learning and practical fieldwork experience.

• Achieve RESNA certification as an Assistive Technology Professional within 6 months.

• Assess the technological needs of individuals with disabilities and assist them in selecting and utilizing adaptive devices.

• Evaluate client requirements and suggest advanced manual and power wheelchairs, custom seating, and adaptive equipment.

• Collaborate with clients, therapists, and physicians to ensure that products fulfill medical and functional requirements.

• Verify medical justification and clarify health insurance benefits and coverage.

• Establish new referral sources and clientele through professional presentations.

• Perform thorough equipment evaluations and process orders in a timely manner.

• Acquire letters of medical necessity and relevant medical documentation.

• Complete work orders, research components, calculate equipment costs, respond to information inquiries, and prepare quotes.

• Follow up on work orders to guarantee prompt equipment receipt and delivery.

• Ensure proper fitting, adjustments, modifications, safety training, and client education regarding equipment.

• Coordinate with technicians and branches to prepare equipment, arrange deliveries, and carry out repairs and modifications.

• Maintain client satisfaction and foster relationships with referral sources, physicians, and healthcare providers.

• Travel within the designated territory to engage with regular and potential customers and demonstrate products.

• Stay updated on product, service, clinical, policy, infection control, and equipment management knowledge.

• Assist with quarterly physical inventory counts as needed.

• Attend NSM’s National Symposium and Sales Meeting.

• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance while fulfilling required continuing education.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a licensed and board-certified occupational or physical therapist.

• Hold a Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational or Physical Therapy.

• National credentialing with AOTA or APTA is required.

• Current resident state license in good standing is mandatory.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in OT or PT practice is essential.

• Experience in Complex Rehab Technology is preferred.

• Desired experience in seating and positioning.

• Possession of a valid State Driver’s License with a clean driving record is necessary.

• Proficient in basic computer skills, including mobile devices, internet, email, and enterprise software.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

• Demonstrated leadership and training abilities.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

• Exceptional organizational skills are essential.

• Ability to lift 50 pounds is necessary.

• Must maintain consistent and reliable attendance.

• Completion and passing of the RESNA Exam during the training cycle is required.

• Must fulfill annual Compliance Training requirements and ATP Competency within the designated timeframe.
