Clinical Admissions Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Engage with clients upon admission to foster a trusting relationship.

• Conduct virtual biopsychosocial assessments for children, adolescents, young adults, and adults.

• Identify treatment needs and assess suitability for the virtual intensive outpatient program level of care.

• Formulate provisional mental health diagnoses based on DSM-V criteria.

• Record client information in the electronic medical record system in compliance with regulatory standards.

• Allocate treatment team members and organize group schedules, notifying staff of new admissions.

• Coordinate the intake process with Admissions, Verification of Benefits, Utilization Review, and Clinical teams.

• Collaborate with hospitals, treatment centers, psychiatrists, therapists, and other behavioral health referral sources.

• Present programming information to assist clients in accessing care.

• Work scheduled shifts from 11am–7pm MT or 12pm–8pm MT; weekend shifts are encouraged.

⛳️ Requirements

• Authorization to work in the United States.

• Native or bilingual proficiency in English.

• Access to dependable technology resources for uninterrupted, confidential, and compliant telehealth services.

• Independent licensure in a mental health field is required.

• Experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults is preferred.

• Previous experience in completing behavioral health assessments and admissions is preferred.

• Independent license is preferred; associate-level clinicians may work towards full licensure.
