This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the launch and continuous growth of Ionis’s inaugural wholly owned commercial product as its indication transitions from Familial Chylomicronemia Syndrome (FCS) to severe hypertriglyceridemia (SHTG)
• Engage with key customers and accounts throughout the healthcare ecosystem
• Identify opportunities for enhancing patient care and fostering robust partnerships
• Establish, sustain, and leverage local healthcare-system networks and relationships
• Create and implement effective business plans along with customer-oriented territory strategic account plans
• Educate healthcare professionals and office staff on sHTG disease awareness, diagnostic pathways, and suitable treatment options
• Provide value-added resources along with HCP/patient support materials and programs
• Participate in conferences, congresses, and scientific meetings
• Collect market insights, profile accounts, and relay feedback to field leadership and marketing
• Comprehend local referral networks and identify, validate, and document potential HCPs treating sHTG patients
• Develop insight-driven tactics and modify strategies to achieve business objectives
• Engage in field meetings and training programs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teammates and share insights from customer engagement
• Utilize available platforms and technology to compliantly engage customers through various channels
• Partner with accounts involving patients managed by multiple specialties across different regions
• Operate in adherence to the Ionis Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and driving record that meets company standards
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Over 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales
• Experience with new product launches
• Proficiency in account-based selling
• Experience in HCP and IDN engagement
• Coordination across cross-functional field teams
• Previous experience in independently managing a sales territory
• Background in cardiology, endocrinology, and other sub-specialties that treat FCS patients
• Familiarity with managing cardiometabolic and lipid-related diseases such as severe hypertriglyceridemia (sHTG)
• Established connections with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and major accounts
• Capability to analyze market data and formulate territory strategies
• Proven ability to navigate complex accounts and align solutions with patient requirements
• Strong clinical knowledge and dedication to addressing patient needs
• Injectable experience is preferred
