This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the introduction and continuous expansion of Ionis’s inaugural wholly owned commercial product within the designated territory.
• Engage with key customers and accounts, pinpoint opportunities to enhance patient care, and foster partnerships throughout the healthcare ecosystem.
• Establish, sustain, and utilize local healthcare networks to devise and implement effective business strategies.
• Educate healthcare professionals and office personnel about sHTG disease awareness, diagnostic pathways, and treatment options.
• Provide valuable resources and support materials for healthcare professionals and patients.
• Participate in conferences, congresses, and scientific meetings.
• Collect market insights, profile accounts, and relay feedback to field leadership and marketing teams.
• Comprehend local referral networks and identify, validate, and document potential healthcare professionals treating sHTG patients.
• Develop and implement territory-specific strategic account plans focused on customer needs.
• Create targeted strategies for endocrinologists, cardiologists, primary care physicians, and other relevant specialties.
• Adapt territory strategies to achieve business objectives.
• Take part in field meetings and training sessions.
• Complete label certification, compliance training, and customer engagement policy training.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teammates to meet customer needs and uphold high standards for customer and patient experience.
• Share insights from customer engagements with field team members and leadership.
• Utilize available platforms and technologies to engage with customers through various channels.
• Partner with accounts involving patients seen by multiple specialties and regions.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a driving record that complies with company standards.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Over 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales.
• Experience in launching new products.
• Proficient in account-based selling.
• Experience engaging with healthcare professionals and integrated delivery networks.
• Background in coordinating cross-functional field teams.
• Previous experience in independently managing a sales territory.
• Familiarity with cardiology, endocrinology, and other specialties that treat FCS patients.
• Preferred experience with injectables.
• Knowledge of treating cardiometabolic and lipid-related diseases such as severe hypertriglyceridemia (sHTG).
• Established connections with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and major accounts.
• Ability to analyze market data and formulate territory strategies.
• Proven ability to navigate complex accounts and align solutions with patient needs.
• Strong clinical knowledge and a commitment to addressing patient needs.
