This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the introduction and continued development of Ionis’s inaugural wholly owned commercial product within the designated territory as its indication transitions from Familial Chylomicronemia Syndrome (FCS) to severe hypertriglyceridemia (SHTG).
• Connect with key customers and accounts, pinpoint opportunities to enhance patient care, and establish collaborations across the healthcare landscape.
• Cultivate, sustain, and utilize local healthcare-system networks and relationships.
• Design and implement efficient business plans and customer-centric strategic account plans for the territory.
• Inform HCPs and office personnel about sHTG disease awareness, diagnostic pathways, and treatment prioritization.
• Foster positive prescribing experiences by providing value-added resources and HCP/patient support materials and programs.
• Engage in conferences, congresses, and scientific meetings to inform HCPs about sHTG and its treatments.
• Collect account insights and relay feedback to field leadership and marketing to shape product sales and marketing strategies.
• Comprehend local referral networks and identify, validate, and document potential HCPs treating sHTG patients.
• Formulate focused tactics based on brand needs and current as well as future customer requirements.
• Modify strategies to achieve business objectives in the designated region.
• Attend field meetings and training sessions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues and share customer engagement insights with field teams and leadership.
• Utilize available platforms and technology to engage customers compliantly through various channels.
• Partner on accounts with patients managed by multiple specialties across different regions.
• Possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Have 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales.
• Experience in launching new products is essential.
• Proficient in account-based selling.
• Experience engaging with HCPs and Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs).
• Proven ability in coordinating cross-functional field teams.
• Prior experience in independently managing a sales territory is necessary.
• Background in cardiology, endocrinology, and other specialties that treat FCS patients is preferred.
• Experience with injectables is advantageous.
• Knowledge of cardiometabolic and lipid-related diseases such as severe hypertriglyceridemia (sHTG) is valuable.
• Established connections with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and major accounts.
• Ability to analyze market data and formulate territory strategies.
• Demonstrated success in navigating complex accounts and aligning solutions with patient needs.
• Strong clinical knowledge and dedication to addressing patient needs.
• Capacity to learn and adhere to the company’s mission, vision, policies, and procedures, including the Ionis Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
• Ability to complete approved-label and compliance training and adhere to customer engagement policies.
