This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the launch and continuous development of Ionis’s inaugural wholly owned commercial product within the designated territory.
• Engage with key customers and accounts, pinpoint opportunities to enhance patient care, and foster partnerships throughout the healthcare ecosystem.
• Establish, sustain, and leverage local healthcare system networks and relationships.
• Create and implement effective business plans to achieve both customer and Ionis objectives.
• Educate healthcare professionals (HCPs) and office personnel on sHTG disease awareness, diagnostic pathways, and treatment priorities.
• Provide value-added resources along with HCP and patient support materials and programs.
• Participate in conferences, congresses, and scientific meetings.
• Gather insights from accounts and relay feedback to field leadership and marketing teams.
• Comprehend local referral networks and identify, validate, and document potential HCPs.
• Execute brand strategic plans and develop customer-centric territory account plans.
• Formulate tactics for hospital- and office-based Endocrinologists, Cardiologists, Primary Care Physicians (PCPs), and other relevant specialties.
• Engage in field meetings and training programs.
• Complete label certification, compliance training, and customer engagement policy training.
• Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues and share insights from customer engagements.
• Utilize available platforms and technologies to connect with customers through various channels.
• Partner with accounts involving patients seen by multiple specialties across different geographies.
• A valid U.S. driver’s license with a driving record that meets company standards.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Over 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales.
• Experience in launching new products.
• Proficiency in account-based selling.
• Experience in engaging with HCPs and Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs).
• Experience coordinating cross-functional field teams.
• Previous experience managing a sales territory independently.
• Background in cardiology, endocrinology, or other specialties treating FCS patients.
• Preferably, experience with injectables.
• Familiarity with the treatment of cardiometabolic and lipid-related diseases such as severe hypertriglyceridemia (sHTG).
• Established relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and major accounts.
• Ability to analyze market data and develop territory strategies.
• Proven record of navigating complex accounts and aligning solutions with patient needs.
