This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Assist in the launch and continuous development of Ionis’s inaugural wholly owned commercial product as its indication evolves from Familial Chylomicronemia Syndrome to severe hypertriglyceridemia.
• Engage with key customers and accounts throughout the healthcare ecosystem.
• Identify avenues to enhance patient care and foster robust healthcare partnerships.
• Establish, sustain, and utilize local healthcare-system networks and relationships.
• Create and implement effective business plans that align with both customer and Ionis objectives.
• Educate healthcare professionals and office personnel regarding sHTG disease awareness, diagnostic pathways, and treatment prioritization.
• Provide valuable resources along with HCP/patient support materials and programs.
• Participate in conferences, congresses, and scientific gatherings.
• Collect market insights, profile accounts, and relay feedback to field leadership and marketing teams.
• Comprehend local referral networks and identify, validate, and document potential HCPs treating sHTG patients.
• Develop and implement customer-centric strategic account plans for the territory.
• Construct insight-driven tactics for endocrinologists, cardiologists, PCPs, and other relevant specialties.
• Modify territory strategies to achieve business objectives.
• Collaborate with field and brand leadership on strategic account initiatives.
• Engage in field meetings and training sessions.
• Share customer-engagement insights with field team members and leadership.
• Utilize available platforms and technology to compliantly connect with customers through various channels.
• Collaborate on accounts involving patients seen by multiple specialties across different geographies.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with a driving record that meets company standards.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Over 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales.
• Experience with new product launches.
• Proficient in account-based selling.
• Experience in engaging with HCPs and IDNs.
• Background in coordinating cross-functional field teams.
• Previous experience managing a sales territory independently.
• Knowledge in cardiology, endocrinology, and other sub-specialties treating FCS patients.
• Familiarity with treating cardiometabolic and lipid-related disorders such as severe hypertriglyceridemia (sHTG).
• Established connections with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and major accounts.
• Capability to analyze market data and formulate territory strategies.
• Proven track record in navigating complex accounts and aligning solutions with patient needs.
• Strong clinical knowledge and dedication to addressing patient needs.
• Experience with injectables is preferred.
• Ability to learn and comply with the company's mission, vision, policies, and procedures, including the Ionis Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
• Competence in completing approved-label and compliance training along with relevant customer-engagement certifications.
