Clinic RN – Clarkson Heart Center

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary contact via telephone for clinical inquiries, including medication refills.

• Assess patient symptoms and requirements, determine urgency, and suggest appropriate levels of care.

• Work in collaboration with healthcare professionals to guarantee prompt and suitable patient care, especially in emergencies.

• Keep accurate healthcare records of patient interactions and follow-up communications.

• Offer administrative assistance for FMLA, workers' compensation, disability, and related documentation.

• Provide and manage clinical resources to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and continuity.

• Support multiple providers within the Community Cardiology Care team with a strong emphasis on telephone support.

⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate's degree in nursing (ADN) or a Nursing Diploma is required.

• Effective communication skills are essential.

• A demonstrated ability to show initiative, teamwork, and flexibility is required.

• Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or hold a current compact state license.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is department dependent.

• Previous experience in patient nursing, specialty/primary care clinic, and/or telephonic support is preferred.

• A Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or a Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree is preferred.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, is preferred.

• Proficient use of email applications is preferred.

• Experience with EPIC or other electronic medical records systems is preferred.

• A multi-state license is preferred for the Medical Call Center department.
