This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Oversee and enhance existing medical communication client accounts, client portfolios, and therapeutic domains.
• Meet account forecasts and recognize as well as secure new business ventures.
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients.
• Supervise and direct account teams to guarantee high-quality and timely deliverables.
• Spearhead strategic publication and medical communication planning initiatives.
• Develop, present, and market deliverables effectively.
• Ensure timely provision of products and services to clients.
• Create project proposals and budgets alongside internal teams.
• Evaluate major deliverables for quality assurance and alignment with client expectations.
• Keep leadership updated on critical client and project developments and concerns.
• Manage the financial aspects of client relationships, including contracts, statements of work, purchase orders, invoices, forecasting, and reporting.
• Prepare strategic, tactical, and project plans.
• Facilitate client status meetings, project kick-offs, and debrief sessions.
• Review project reports and communicate any changes in scope and costs.
• Travel for client meetings and other events as required.
• Lead, mentor, train, and coach members of the account team.
• Supervise 1–2 direct reports, including providing feedback, setting goals, and conducting performance reviews.
• Engage in client presentations, selling, and communicating Citrus’s perspective and expertise.
• Update stakeholders on project progress and identify as well as cultivate new business opportunities.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the medical communications sector.
• Advanced knowledge of activities within medical publication accounts and medical communications strategies is required.
• Proven understanding of market dynamics, scientific information, and both clinical and preclinical data is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, communications, or a related field.
• Exceptional time management and project management skills, including handling very large and/or multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and adhering to budgets.
• Capability to provide management direction and developmental support to direct reports; offer challenging and engaging assignments; delegate tasks to empower others; and share ownership and visibility.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint, with the ability to create well-designed and effective presentations.
• Strong leadership abilities focused on account services, strategic medical communications, and business processes.
• Skills in negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management.
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to pinpoint key issues and creatively and strategically navigate challenges.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
• Capacity to think analytically and effectively plan, prioritize, and execute tasks.
• Expert verbal and written communication abilities.
• Exceptional presentation and persuasion skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed (<10%).
