Client Principal, Data Analytics and AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead executive discovery sessions, envisioning exercises, assessments, and workshops.

• Convert undefined client challenges into prioritized use cases, data products, and measurable results.

• Cultivate relationships across business, data, application, security, and cloud teams.

• Collaborate with account teams on opportunity assessment and account strategy.

• Establish comprehensive architectures encompassing ingestion, integration, storage, transformation, governance, analytics, ML, and GenAI.

• Develop proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs) with clearly defined scopes, assumptions, staffing, estimates, risks, and dependencies.

• Ensure that proposed strategies are feasible, secure, supportable, aligned with outcomes, and prepared for delivery.

• Shape database, data platform, and cloud modernization roadmaps in partnership with hyperscaler and technology partners.

• Provide architectural guidance during discovery, proof-of-value, pilot, and early implementation phases.

• Mitigate technical risks effectively.

• Document outcomes, assumptions, decisions, estimates, and acceptance criteria to facilitate presales-to-delivery handoff.

• Recommend analytics, ML, AI, or GenAI solutions, including RAG, agents, grounding, evaluation, and guardrails.

• Implement data governance, cataloging, lineage, quality, and security-by-design methodologies.

• Collaborate with account teams, architects, delivery leaders, and technology partners to create commercially viable solutions and ensure successful delivery.

• Report directly to the Managing Client Principal.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience in data, analytics, software engineering, cloud architecture, consulting, or a related field.

• Extensive client-facing technical presales experience as an architect, principal consultant, or senior solution leader.

• Leadership experience in customer implementation and technical delivery.

• Demonstrated capability to lead executive workshops, define solutions, compose proposals and SOWs, and estimate delivery timelines.

• In-depth knowledge of one modern data platform and practical experience with a second.

• Capability to provide guidance on Snowflake, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.

• Proficiency in ETL/ELT patterns for batch, streaming, and event-driven pipelines.

• Familiarity with Lakehouse and modern warehouse concepts.

• Expertise in data modeling for operational, analytical, semantic, and AI workloads.

• Experience in database modernization or platform migration.

• Background in Enterprise BI, semantic modeling, and ML lifecycle/MLOps.

• Knowledge of RAG, agents, grounding, evaluation, guardrails, and responsible AI.

• Ability to provide advice on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, selecting services based on customer requirements.

• Fluency in data governance, cataloging, lineage, quality, and security-by-design practices.

• Understanding of scope, schedule, staffing, assumptions, dependencies, risk, margin, and delivery feasibility.

• Preferred qualifications include relevant data platform or cloud certifications and established partner relationships that support joint go-to-market strategies.

• Experience in adapting data and AI methodologies to various industries, regulatory, and operational environments is preferred.

• Preferred experience in software or full-stack engineering.

• Experience in building accelerators, assessment methods, reference architectures, or presales tools is preferred.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering and delivery tools, emphasizing human review, security, IP, and governance practices is preferred.

• Participation in conferences, publication of articles, or community contributions regarding modern data platforms and responsible AI is preferred.
