Client Manager, Commercial Risk – Innovation Practice

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Ensure the accuracy of client files and documentation within the Agency Management System.

• Draft professional business communications through letters, emails, and other channels.

• Execute invoicing, premium allocation, and various accounting or numerical tasks.

• Oversee claims, relay claims information, and keep up-to-date claims records.

• Work collaboratively with Advisors, Directors of Risk Management, Client Service Specialists, agency staff, clients, and insurance providers.

• Attend client meetings alongside the Advisor or Director of Risk Management when requested.

• Support colleagues with client inquiries and workflow processing.

• Handle daily client account activities, which include policy reviews, modifications, updates, contract assessments, certificate processing, renewals, marketing, negotiating insurance plans, surplus lines filing, lease evaluations, and financial statement analysis.

• Address client inquiries via phone and email, ensuring timely follow-up for service.

• Advise clients on coverage options and risks while recommending or securing additional coverage as needed.

• Pursue client referrals and generate new business through prospect databases and automation tools.

• Build strong relationships with insurance carrier partners and comprehend carrier requirements.

• Identify areas for improvement within the firm, business segment, and processes; escalate any issues or discrepancies to leadership.


⛳️ Requirements

• Acquire and maintain the necessary state insurance license(s), or be prepared to obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days of employment.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Commercial Account Manager position.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook at an intermediate to advanced level.

• Capacity to learn relevant insurance company and firm software applications.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Competence in performing accounting and math-related tasks, including invoicing and premium allocation.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.

• Willingness to travel as necessary.
