
Client Billing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the complete client billing process for diagnostic laboratory services.
• Ensure invoices comply with laboratory service agreement guidelines, internal policies, accurate pricing, and client specifications.
• Investigate disputed invoice transactions, determine underlying issues, and implement corrective measures.
• Reach out to clients for adjustments and facilitate the transfer of transactions to submit claims to payers when necessary.
• Monitor outstanding invoice balances and keep track of aging reports.
• Engage with clients to address issues and accelerate payment processes.
• Keep precise records of invoice statuses, communications, and client feedback within the billing system.
• Work collaboratively with billing, reimbursement, Market Access, Sales, and billing vendor teams.
• Stay updated on client requirements, laboratory service agreements, pricing adjustments, and regulatory changes impacting invoicing.
• Create and evaluate invoice performance reports to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement, aiding management in decision-making.
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical claims processing, ideally within a diagnostic laboratory or healthcare environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of insurance billing, payer requirements, and denial management processes.
• Familiarity with laboratory coding systems (CPT, ICD-10), explanation of benefits (EOB), and remittance advice.
• Proficient in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and effective communication skills.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Reliable access to high-speed internet.
• Standard office equipment including a computer, phone, and video conferencing tools are required.
