Clean Combustion Process Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee customer inquiries related to pressure part materials, equipment enhancements, and power plant evaluations.

• Conduct studies on fuel conversion, emission reduction, and improvements in heat rate.

• Perform combustion and process calculations to assess combustor and component efficiency.

• Analyze heat transfer surface designs, materials, and auxiliary equipment for boilers.

• Formulate performance guarantees for steam generators.

• Assess project risks and assist in commissioning, tuning, and performance evaluations.

• Generate engineering selections and deliverables that align with customer specifications.

• Collaborate with project teams and offer technical support.

• Utilize knowledge of boiler design, operations, and power plants to implement business strategies.

• Engage as a presenter or reviewer during technical and program assessments.

• Record technical data in accordance with engineering codes, design standards, and protocols.

• Suggest solutions for intricate problems beyond established parameters.

• Serve as a resource for junior colleagues.

• Manage small, low-risk projects and foster team agreement on boiler design issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or another engineering field from an accredited institution.

• At least 6 years of pertinent work experience.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient in problem analysis and resolution.

• Capable of documenting, planning, marketing, and executing programs.

• Proven project management abilities.

• Knowledge of boiler design and operation.

• Strong analytical thinking and technical expertise.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if required.

• Willingness to travel domestically to customer locations less than 10% of the time.
