
Claims Team Lead – Liability Bodily Injury

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.
• Oversee various teams of examiners and technical personnel managing liability claims.
• Keep track of coworkers' workloads and individual claim processes.
• Offer training and technical/jurisdictional guidance on claims adjudication.
• Maintain claim diaries, including regular updates for complex or high-exposure cases.
• Recognize trends, issues, and challenges, and suggest actionable solutions.
• Update management on new procedures and ongoing process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with management to coordinate office projects.
• Gather, assess, and analyze management reports and take necessary actions.
• Conduct quality reviews of claims to ensure compliance with audit, service contract, and quality standards.
• Serve as the second level of appeal for client and claimant matters.
• Monitor third-party claims and evaluate litigated, serious vocational rehabilitation, questionable, and sensitive claims.
• Maintain communication with clients and foster professional relationships.
• Ensure that direct reports hold the necessary licenses for the jurisdictions served.
• Verify that claims files are accurately coded and sufficiently documented.
• Implement personnel policies while adhering to staffing and training standards.
• Conduct interviews, hire new staff, and establish performance development plans.
• Facilitate performance discussions with colleagues.
• Provide support, guidance, leadership, and motivation to team members.
• Promote the organization's quality programs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Necessary licenses as required.
• Professional certifications relevant to the line of business are preferred.
• A minimum of six (6) years of claims experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• At least two (2) years of experience in a claims supervisory role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of claims management processes and procedures across multiple product lines.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including presentation capabilities.
• Proficiency in PC use, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong leadership and management capabilities.
• Excellent analytical and interpretive skills.
