Claims Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the Claims Manager

• Supervise a team of approximately 12–15 claims examiners and adjusters

• Understand and adhere to client-specific guidelines

• Oversee and manage the productivity targets of downline staff along with financial and procedural accuracy standards

• Collaborate on special initiatives, which include process documentation, training, quality audits, and surge activities for clients

• Maintain open lines of communication with management to resolve issues and ensure accuracy and quality in processing

• Compile and delegate projects related to provider data, authorizations, enrollment, or other relevant information

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in healthcare claims processing

• Strong understanding and capability to effectively lead a claims team

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Experience with Microsoft applications, particularly Excel, is recommended

• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding is advantageous

• Familiarity with physician billing and hospital coding (ICD-10, HCPC, CPT-4), medical terminology, and authorization requirements

• Eagerness to acquire new skills

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team

• Strong work ethic

• Capability to quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment

• Self-motivated and quick learner

• Proficient in coaching the team to achieve their maximum potential

• Reliable and capable of working independently
