This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +6 more states.
• Accurately audit, review, and process WFRP claims in a timely manner, adhering to policy requirements, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
• Investigate and resolve intricate claims, policy, and system issues, including PASS errors, with minimal supervision.
• Act as a knowledgeable resource concerning WFRP claims procedures, policy interpretation, underwriting, and claims processes.
• Collaborate with underwriters, adjusters, compliance staff, agents, and producers to address inquiries and support the claim handling process.
• Utilize expertise in WFRP, MPCI, FCIC, NCIS, RMA, and relevant manuals and policy documentation to aid in claim decisions.
• Identify system-related issues, contribute to training development, and assist in the implementation of process improvements.
• Keep informed about regional crops, farming practices, and internal procedures.
• Adjust to evolving priorities, systems, and business requirements while ensuring quality research and timely execution.
• Travel as necessary, up to 25%.
• Extensive experience in MPCI underwriting, claims auditing, and/or claims processing is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in MPCI or WFRP crop insurance is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of FCIC MPCI and WFRP policies.
• Capability to interpret policy provisions and related documentation.
• Familiarity with IRS federal tax forms, company policies and procedures, along with relevant claims or underwriting systems is preferred.
• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Capacity to maintain confidentiality and adapt to changes.
• Competency in navigating complex issues effectively.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, up to 25%.
• Ability to perform sedentary work and remain seated or standing consistently.
• Close visual acuity for data analysis, transcription, computer terminal viewing, extensive reading, and visual inspection.
• Ability to work indoors in a standard office environment.
• Travel required for meetings and training sessions.
