Claims Representative – Commercial Trucking

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Evaluate and manage low to mid-level auto commercial trucking and transportation claims.

β€’ Handle auto property damage and minor injury claims.

β€’ Assess damages, authorize payments, and ensure that claim files are well-documented and accurately coded in accordance with the policy.

β€’ Create and uphold action plans to adhere to state-mandated contract deadlines and facilitate the timely and appropriate resolution of files.

β€’ Identify and pursue opportunities for subrogation.

β€’ Manage the securing and disposal of salvage.

β€’ Communicate claims actions and processing updates with insured individuals, clients, and agents or brokers as necessary.

β€’ Foster professional relationships with clients.

β€’ Conduct coverage, liability, and damage assessments on all claim assignments.

β€’ Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

β€’ Obtain and maintain state adjusting licenses as required for the role.

β€’ A minimum of three (3) years of experience in personal line or commercial line property claims management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.

β€’ Understanding of basic construction principles.

β€’ Familiarity with personal and commercial lines policies and endorsements.

β€’ Capability to review and evaluate Property Damage estimates, total loss assessments, and associated costs.

β€’ Proficient in negotiating first and third-party claims effectively.

β€’ Knowledge of total loss processing, state salvage documentation, and title requirements.

β€’ Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present information effectively.

β€’ Proficient in using computers, including Microsoft Office applications.

β€’ Competent keyboarding skills.

β€’ Adequate hearing, vision, and verbal communication abilities.

β€’ Ability to think clearly and conceptually.

β€’ Exceptional judgment and discretion.

β€’ Proven ability to meet deadlines.
