Claims Representative – Commercial Trucking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and manage low to mid-level auto commercial trucking and transportation claims.

• Handle auto property damage and minor injury claims.

• Assess damages, authorize payments, and ensure that claim files are well-documented and accurately coded in accordance with the policy.

• Create and uphold action plans to adhere to state-mandated contract deadlines and facilitate the timely and appropriate resolution of files.

• Identify and pursue opportunities for subrogation.

• Manage the securing and disposal of salvage.

• Communicate claims actions and processing updates with insured individuals, clients, and agents or brokers as necessary.

• Foster professional relationships with clients.

• Conduct coverage, liability, and damage assessments on all claim assignments.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

• Obtain and maintain state adjusting licenses as required for the role.

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in personal line or commercial line property claims management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.

• Understanding of basic construction principles.

• Familiarity with personal and commercial lines policies and endorsements.

• Capability to review and evaluate Property Damage estimates, total loss assessments, and associated costs.

• Proficient in negotiating first and third-party claims effectively.

• Knowledge of total loss processing, state salvage documentation, and title requirements.

• Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present information effectively.

• Proficient in using computers, including Microsoft Office applications.

• Competent keyboarding skills.

• Adequate hearing, vision, and verbal communication abilities.

• Ability to think clearly and conceptually.
