Claims Representative 2 – Crop

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Investigate, inspect, assess, and process Federal Crop and Crop Hail Claims.

• Review clients' insurance policies to determine coverage limits.

• Reach out to clients within 24 hours to clarify claims procedures.

• Schedule inspection dates and times.

• Examine damage and identify the cause of loss.

• Assess and quantify damages and issue payments accordingly.

• Engage in auditing, bin measurements, drone flights, training, compliance, and presentation meetings.

• Communicate and negotiate with insured individuals, claimants, insurance carriers, and other relevant parties regarding claim investigations and resolutions.

• Adjust all federal crop claims using the American Farm Bureau Insurance Services CAP estimating system.

• Foster relationships with agency and Illinois Farm Bureau Managers within the assigned territory.

• Travel with overnight or extended stays as required.

• Work outside of regular hours as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Typically requires 4+ years of pertinent experience or a mix of related experience, education, and training.

• A valid driver's license is required for all levels.

• Federal Crop Certification for P2-P4 is necessary.

• Capability to climb and/or walk through fields in various weather conditions.

• Ability to lift at least 10 lbs.

• Willingness to travel with overnight or extended stays as required.

• Flexibility to work beyond standard hours as necessary.
