Claims Recovery Examiner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Investigate refund checks, discrepancies in balances, and uncashed checks

• Take appropriate actions based on findings, including offsetting, voiding, or reissuing provider payments

• Utilize expertise in complex pricing, contractual pricing, and benefit coordination

• Make outbound calls to gather further information, clarify specifics, and address issues

• Foster positive relationships with clients and business partners

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

• One year of experience in coordination of benefits (COB)

• Ability to assess healthcare reimbursement methods and coordinate benefits effectively

• Strong organizational and time management capabilities

• Adaptability to manage shifting priorities

• Capability to collaborate with others or work independently as the task requires

• Proficient mathematical skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

• Excellent verbal communication skills

• Competence in confidently making outbound calls to gather additional information, clarify specifics, and resolve issues

• Eligible candidates must fulfill applicable employment requirements; employment may be contingent upon successful completion of drug screening

• Preferred: Two years of increased responsibility in IHS Department claims processing or Customer Service roles

• Preferred: Two years of accounting experience or a solid understanding of accounting practices, or two years of progressive responsibility in claims processing, including COB processing
