Claims Examiner – Workers Compensation, Multi State, Licensing: TX/FL or Home State preferred

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Evaluate intricate or technically challenging workers' compensation claims to ascertain the benefits owed

• Manage high-exposure claims that involve litigation and rehabilitation processes

• Ensure that claims are adjudicated in alignment with service expectations, industry best practices, and client service standards

• Identify subrogation opportunities for claims and negotiate settlements accordingly

• Conduct investigations and gather pertinent information to assess claim exposure

• Process claims through action plans to achieve appropriate and timely resolutions

• Negotiate settlements for claims within the assigned authority limits

• Communicate updates on claim activities and processing with claimants and clients

• Report claims to excess carriers and respond to requests for direction

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred

• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in claims management or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required

• Proficient knowledge of multi-state workers' compensation claims

• Preferred TX/FL or home-state licensing

• Capability to analyze complex or technically challenging workers' compensation claims

• Ability to manage work-related stress and multiple priorities effectively

• Competence in meeting deadlines

• Proficient computer keyboarding skills

• Travel as required
